Some sessions work better outside, walking, instead of sitting across from each other in an office.

We walk a small number of set routes around Commercial Drive and the Mount Pleasant and Olympic Village areas, picked for quiet stretches with enough width that we're not dodging cyclists mid-sentence. If it's raining hard or dangerously hot, we move indoors for that session — nothing gets skipped over weather, we adjust instead.

If we pass someone you know, that's fine. You decide how to handle it in the moment and I'll follow your lead, whether that's a wave and keep walking or stopping to talk. I won't say anything about who I am or why we're together unless you introduce me that way.

Walking sessions work the same as in-office ones for cost and length. The only thing that changes is where we are.

Facing each other

In a room, eye contact is constant — for a lot of people, that reads as pressure.

Side by side

Outside, walking, there's no eye contact to manage. A lot of people find it easier to say the harder thing.
